Public hearing to be held for air pollution permit

A public hearing about an air pollution permit application for a sand processing plant in Pierce County will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 18 at the Pierce County Court House, EOC Room, 414 W. Main St., Ellsworth.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has made a preliminary determination that the application meets state and federal air pollution control requirements and should be approved. Comments received by the DNR at the meeting and after the meeting until the close of business Dec. 20 will be considered before a final decision is made.
