Spotlight: The Red Wing Arts Association invites area residents to a unique Holiday Celebration event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday Nov. 24.
The day starts with a workshop for children ages 3 to 10 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Also beginning at 10 a.m. is multi-talented artist Mary Singer doing caricatures in the Depot waiting area.
At 1 p.m., jewelry artist Julie Binko will demonstrate copper wire bracelets.
From 2 to 5 p.m., wheat/straw artist Beth Robbins Keller will share her talents working with natural materials. She creates angel ornaments, jewelry and display items from wheat and straw.
Visitors to Depot Gallery will enjoy live holiday music from 2 to 4 p.m. by Red Wing native Neal Topliff who will play songs from his newest release, “A Midnight Clear.”
While all this is going on, the Vogel Gallery displays “Insights,” a RWAA member show of artwork that reflects the artists’ vision. Nearly 50 member artists will share their art.
In the Veeder Gallery, RWAA has expanded the gift shop to include special holiday items from members. Several artists will have extra items for sale in the Depot waiting area. The majority of the items are made in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
