How refreshing, after the brutal election cycle, to stand in a packed gymnasium and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The patriotic songs sung with enthusiasm by the children hopefully gave all in attendance confidence that America will go forward.
Burnside teacher Gretchen Anderson and the third-graders' tribute to veterans was moving and thought provoking.
Thanks for teaching important lessons to our children and grandchildren and providing us with such an enjoyable evening.
