Two people were arrested early Monday morning after allegedly getting caught stealing scrap metal.
William Raley, 24, 1528 ½ South Park St., and Kari Blank, 30, 137 Vincent Ave., were booked and released from Goodhue County Jail. Raley was booked in on possession of stolen property, driving after suspension and no insurance charges. Blank was booked in on a liability for the crimes of another charge.
According to the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, John Ziemer, 227th Ave. Path, Hay Creek Township, found Raley and Blank rummaging around in his shop at 2:31 a.m. He saw pieces of his scrap metal in the pair’s vehicle and confronted them.
Raley and Blank allegedly left as Ziemer called police. They were later apprehended by the Red Wing Police Department.
