“Nature Girl” and “Imagination Nation” are the eighth and ninth CD's in the recording discography of regional singer/guitarist Yata Peinovich. A CD release party is set for 7 p.m. Saturday Nov. 17 at the Widespot Performing Arts Center in Stockholm.

The musician from rural Arkansaw, Wis., has been writing and recording original music since the 1980s. The songs on the new albums were written during travels with his wife, artist Jean Accola, to sun-splashed islands in Mexico, Hawaii and Belize and in the river towns along the Mississippi, Chippewa, Red Cedar and Rainy Rivers where he lives, works and recreates.

Peinovich began his career in the Twin Cities as a member of Artesian Dreams and has been performing original music in a variety of styles in concert settings in Wisconsin for 30 years.

Performing at the release party with Peinovich are friends Sue Orfield and Mark Healy.

Orfield plays tenor sax. Healey hails from a rock and roll background having played bass guitar and vocals.
