The Friends of the Red Wing Library will bring author Greg Breining to speak at 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 24 in the Foot Room.
Breining is an author and journalist who writes about travel, science and nature. His articles and essays have appeared in the New York Times, Audobon and National Geographic Traveler. His books include “Super Volcano,” the story of the active volcano beneath Yellowstone, and “Wild Shore,” an account of two seasons kayaking around Lake Superior. His newest book, “Paddle North: Canoeing the Boundary Waters-Quetico Wilderness” features photographs by Layne Kennedy and was published by Minnesota Historical Society Press.
This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and arranged by the Southeast Library System. It is free and open to the public. For more information, call 651-388-6465.
