Mildred M. (Fredrickson) Taube, a lifelong resident of Cannon Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 8, at Twin Rivers Senior Campus.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1916, to Axel and Ida (Lorenson) Fredrickson. She attended Cannon Falls and Randolph Schools and was a lifelong member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls.

Millie was united in marriage to Herman Taube on Oct. 2, 1937, at the Vasa chapel. They farmed in the Cannon Falls area where she took pride with their vegetable and fruit gardens. She worked for several years at the Spectacular Products/Princess Soft Toy factory in Cannon Falls. She enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, embroidering, and reading. She was especially busy at Christmastime with her many kinds of cookies, bars, and candies, and everyone looked forward to the "goodies" they were sent home with.

Millie was a resident of Park Street Apartments for 16 years after moving off the farm and then moved to Twin Rivers Senior Campus in March 2010.

She is survived by three children, Betty Lou (Ernie) Sparstad and Jerry (LuRene) Taube, all of Cannon Falls, and Shirley Braun of St. Cloud; seven grandchildren, Steven, Timothy, Sheri, Sandra, Eric, Teresa, and Jeffrey; 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Carl Benson of Cannon Falls; sister-in-law, Leatrice Fredrickson of Red Wing; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman, on Jan. 1, 1994; brother, Gordon Fredrickson, on Aug. 17, 2005; and son-in-law William "Bill" Braun on Jan. 10, 2012.

Funeral service will be held at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, with visitation at church from 9:30-11 a.m. Interment will be at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. The pallbearers are Donald Taube, Richard Taube, Michael Taube, Robert Benson, Frank Landsberger, and Dennis Smith.

Her wish was to have memorials given to St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements by Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Online condolences may be directed to www.lundbergfuneral.com.
