Zumbrota-Mazeppa voters nix $350 operating levy request
Zumbrota-Mazeppa School District residents voted down a $350 per pupil operating levy, with 1,987 yes votes to 1,734 no votes.
Zumbrota-Mazeppa School District residents voted down a $350 per pupil operating levy, with 1,987 yes votes to 1,734 no votes.
The levy was proposed in order to avoid cuts to teaching staff, elective programs, athletic programs and music and art programs.
For school board, Peter Hinrichs, Mark Krier and Brian Grudem were elected in the race with three open seats. Hinrichs led vote totals with 2,680, followed by Grudem with 2,479 and Krier with 2,371.
