11:30 p.m.: Red Wing’s proposed half-cent local option sales tax is still failing with five of eight precincts reporting. There were 3,032 votes (59.94 percent) cast against the tax while 2,026 votes (40.06 percent) came in for the measure.

11:15 p.m.: With half of the city’s precincts reporting, the Red Wing local option sales tax is failing. There are 2,355 votes (60.76 percent) against the measure and 1,521 votes (39.24 percent) for the half-cent tax.
10:10 p.m.: The proposed half-cent local option sales tax is failing in Red Wing with three of eight precincts reporting. There are 1,093 votes (37.95 percent) for the tax and 1,787 votes (62.05) against.
