Anderson to preach as Norelius

Pastor Rod Anderson will portray Swedish immigrant and pioneer preacher Eric Norelius at 10:30 a.m. Sunday Nov. 11 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Welch.

Norelius immigrated to southeastern Minnesota in the 19th century and founded several Swedish Lutheran churches in Red Wing and Cannon Falls. He also founded Gustavus Adolphus Collge and Vasa Children’s Home.

Anderson is a graduate of Cannon Falls High School and is a retired pastor, having spent 34 years at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, Minn.
