Youth in grades 5-12 are welcome to join ski club at Welch Village Thursday afternoons. The club runs Dec. 13 through Feb. 21. The group will depart by bus from Twin Bluff Middle School’s lower parking lot at 3:15 p.m. and return at 7:15 p.m. Skiers must provide their own equipment, lift ticket, helmet and food or money for snacks. Cost is $90.
Gym games like medic, floor hockey and kickball will be played from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting Nov. 20 at Burnside School. The class runs for four weeks. Cost is $11.
Adults are invited to learn the basic techniques in Latin and ballroom dancing from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesdays at the Red Wing High School J pod. Classes start Nov. 27 and run for four weeks. Cost is $28.
Tae kwon do
A new session of tae kwon do will begin Nov. 29. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Red Wing High School lower H pod. Beginners meet from 7 to 8 p.m. and advanced students meet from 8 to 9 p.m. The class is open for anyone ages 6 and older. Tae kwon do uniforms are required and can be purchased from an instructor for $29-$37. Cost for the 12-session class is $40.
