Letter: Preserve our ecosystem: Elect Drotos to board

Ted Seifert is not the county commissioner we want. He has danced around the frac sand mining issue, waiting for the election to pass so he doesn’t have to answer to the people. He’s a good politician, but he’s not a good representative.

To the Editor:

Ted Seifert is not the county commissioner we want. He has danced around the frac sand mining issue, waiting for the election to pass so he doesn’t have to answer to the people. He’s a good politician, but he’s not a good representative.

The frac sand choice is pretty straightforward. Do we allow the oil companies to run over us like they have in Wisconsin or do we stand up for what is ours?

Seifert’s challenger, Paul Drotos, has made it clear he will protect the citizens, while safeguarding the God-given natural resources of this area. Drotos has stepped up to stop the Texas oil machine from decimating our beautiful county and destroying our standard of living.

Paul Drotos cares about the people who live here. He shares our view that the blufflands are an irreplaceable part of our landscape. Drotos also shares our vision of a future that includes keeping our natural resources pristine.

On Nov. 6, the voters will have their chance to show that they want to preserve our air, water and land by removing Seifert and electing Paul Drotos.
