Drazkowski and Montplaisir vie for House seat

District 21B, which includes part of southern Goodhue County, has two candidates seeking its House of Representatives seat — current Rep. Steve Drazkowski and opponent Bruce Montplaisir.
Drazkowski’s focus in the campaign includes making government “live within its means” by streamlining and cutting services and reducing state revenues from taxes.
Montplaisir wants to restore the Market Value Homestead Credit, backs local government aid and wants to stabilize education funding. He also advocates taking a different approach to budgeting and evaluating the state’s financial situation.
