Pollution group reports 78 enforcement cases
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency had 78 enforcement cases in 35 Minnesota counties during the third quarter of 2012, including at two area businesses.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency had 78 enforcement cases in 35 Minnesota counties during the third quarter of 2012, including at two area businesses.
Zumbrota Ready Mix was fined $3,900 for stormwater violations, and Collision Connection in Lake City was fined $1,562 for air quality violations.
The 78 cases through the state this quarter totaled just more than $540,000 in penalties. More than a quarter were stormwater violations, which not only carry monetary penalties, but also require corrective actions.
