The regular season came to an end for Red Wing Tuesday with another three set victory against Chanhassen in Chanhassen.

The Wingers fell 25-6, 25-12, 25-5 to the 10th-ranked Storm for their 15th consecutive loss.

“We didn’t bring our very best tonight … but they’re a very good team,” Red Wing head coach Heidi Ulwelling said. “Their weakest player is still really skilled. They keep coming at you no matter where they set the ball.”

Senior McKenna Schaffer led Red Wing (4-22, 0-7 Missota) with five digs and sophomore Maria Furlong had four digs. Ninth-grader McKenzie Cota was 100 percent from the service line.

“They’re prepared to come back stronger with section play,” Ulwelling said. “Now, we start season two. Hopefully we can start this one on a winning note.”

Section 1AAA seeding will take place Sunday and the first round of sections will begin Wednesday, Oct. 24.
