Letter: Seifert fighting to keep taxes low

To the Editor:

Over the past four years I have witnessed both the good and bad in Goodhue County government and politics. Commissioner Ted Seifert is definitely in the good classification.

Seifert always has time to listen to concerns raised by citizens. When new facts have been brought before him, he has changed his position in order to protect Goodhue County and its citizens.

All elected officials should be willing to do this.

Seifert is a financially conservative voice on the board. Other commissioners want to keep raising and spending our tax dollars as if there's no recession. He will keep fighting to have the lowest taxes possible.

More than anything else you can trust Commissioner Seifert. While other commissioners have changed their positions to become re-elected and others have tried to circumvent the democratic process, his honesty and integrity will continue to serve Goodhue County well.

Vote to re-elect Commissioner Ted Seifert on Nov. 6.
