Junior Mikayla Miller led Goodhue with 16 kills as the Wildcats defeated La Crescent in three sets Tuesday in La Crescent.

Miller also had four ace serves and eight digs as Goodhue (8-16, 5-6 HVL) won 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.

“Game one and two, we gave a few points away at the end,” Wildcats head coach Andy Kimball said. “It was a little more comfortable than what the score says.”

Ninth-grader Michelle Hadler finished with 30 set assists for Goodhue, filling in at setter for Mikayla Tipcke, who was out with a concussion.

“Michelle’s setting percent numbers were high because of what Miller brings to the game,” Kimball said.

Junior Laurie Pearson added four kills and four aces while junior Emilee Roschen led the Wildcats with 11 digs.

Goodhue plays Triton Thursday at home for “Dig Pink” night to raise breast cancer awareness.
