Flyway Film Festival screening

The Flyway Film Festival will hold a screening of the documentary “Last Day at Lambeau.” The event will be a benefit for the Pepin Food Pantry, and donations and non-perishable food items will be collected. The film will be of great interest to football fans in general, particularly Packer fans. The film explores the complex relationship between football fans and athletes – specifically the events that took Brett Favre from being the pride of Wisconsin for 16 years to playing for the Packers’ arch-nemesis – the Minnesota Vikings – and the adoration and contempt that linger after his 2010 final play at Lambeau.

Barn dancing

The Rush River Ramblers will play for the barn dance. No experience is necessary for a good time. An expert caller is on hand to teach steps to new and more seasoned dancers. The barn dance series is volunteer-operated and jointly sponsored by River Falls Community Arts Base and River Falls Parks and Recreation.
