Four vie for four open Red Wing School Board seats

The Red Wing School Board has four candidates vying for the four open at-large seats.

Current Board members Mike Christensen and Heidi Jones, who have each served one term, are seeking re-election. Jones was Board chair in 2010 and 2011.

Also on the ballot are Janie Farrar, a full-time mother with four young children enrolled in Red Wing schools, and Mark Ryan, a retired teacher and educational consultant. If elected, both would be new faces to the board.

Neither current Board member Dennis Porter — who is finishing up his first term — nor current Board chair and long-time Board member Mitch Boldt are seeking re-election.
