Letter: Rauterkus is prepared, dedicated

To the Editor:

I support Ralph Rauterkus’ re-election to our City Council.

I watched his extraordinary contribution to public service while he served the Port Authority. He is an accomplished analyst; willing to devote many hours of his personal time to an end which would benefit all citizens.

When he served as chair of the Budget & Finance Committee, he attended the meetings well-prepared; capable of defining complex financial matters to those of us who appreciated them in “layman’s” terms.

Ralph provided keen oversight to the port’s financial operation, he initiated an ethical governance policy and he served Port as a valued board member.

It’s good to know we have a skilled, devoted trustee like Ralph serving our City Council.
