Master Gardener program is now accepting applications

Volunteers interested in entering the Master Gardener program must have an active interest in plants and gardening and be willing to share that interest with others. Upon completion of the Master Gardener program, each Master Gardener is required to complete an internship of 50 hours of volunteer time the first year and 25 hours of volunteer time in following years.
The 2013 Master Gardener Core Course will be held at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska and online. This class is taught by University of Minnesota Extension educators and faculty and topics include botany, soils, horticulture resources, entomology, plant pathology, herbaceous plants, trees and shrubs, indoor plants, integrated pest management, fruits and vegetables, weeds and lawn care.
