Rotary offering grant for international studies

Rotary District 5960 is looking for applicants for a new global grant scholarship.

Rotary District 5960 is looking for applicants for a new global grant scholarship. The scholarship is worth $30,000 annually and will help fund a graduate-level student from the St. Paul, southeastern Minnesota or western Wisconsin areas in pursuing educational and service dreams in the areas of Rotary’s future focus:

• Peace and conflict prevention/resolution

• Disease prevention and treatment

• Water and sanitation

• Maternal and child health

• Basic education and literacy

• Economic and community development

@brief/summary text: Friends of the Florence Town Hall will hold a Florence Township History Fair from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday Oct. 13 at the Town Hall, 33923 Highway 61, Frontenac.

The fair will feature displays by the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Crime Prevention, Florence Planning Commission, Florence Heritage Commission, Frontenac State Park and more.

Refreshments will be served.
