Two people injured in truck crash
Two people were injured Saturday afternoon when a truck entered a ditch, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Two people were injured Saturday afternoon when a truck entered a ditch, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Steve Schwag, 32, Stacy, Minn., was driving the truck northbound on Highway 63 in Trembelle Township just after 2:30 p.m. The truck entered the east ditch, vaulted over a driveway and landed, ejecting both occupants.
Schwang was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undetermined injuries. Passenger Alexander Hernandez, 20, Minneapolis, was taken by ambulance to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries.
The sheriff’s department is still investigating the cause of the accident. Ellsworth Area Ambulance and Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene.
