Red Wing’s Matt Riley took first place in his age group at the 2012 XTERRA USA Championship in Ogden/Snowbasin, Utah, last Saturday.
Riley completed the triathlon in 3 hours, 12 minutes for first place in the 20-24 age group of the male competition. He finished 86th overall.
The course consisted of a 1.5-kilometer swim, a 28-kilometer mountain bike trail and a 10k trail run.
