Letter: Seifert stands with his neighbors

To the Editor:

Ted Seifert defends the people of Goodhue County. He has consistently voted and worked to bring truth and common sense to his role as county commissioner.

Mr. Seifert is a friend to business and industry as well - unless a company’s work would harm the residents - then he sides with the citizens. I found that he takes the time to listen to my concerns and ask pertinent questions to ensure he is fully informed. He does not shy away from the tough issues.

Throughout the multi-year ongoing dispute over industrial wind development, Seifert has been a strong advocate for local control and accountability. If more Goodhue County commissioners demonstrated his resolve, I think we’d have fewer corporate wolves in sheep’s clothing.

AWA Goodhue industrial wind project pretends to be “community vased” and continues to make false claims of wide-spread community support. While the governor, state agencies and some of the other county commissioners continue to stand by while predatory billionaires run rough-shod over citizens, Seifert stands with his neighbors in Goodhue County.

For these reasons and for demonstrating fiscal responsibility, I encourage you to re-elect Ted Seifert county commissioner.
