Boys Soccer: PIZM pours in six goals at Lake City

Senior Paul Kohner tallied three goals to lead the Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa boys soccer team in a 6-2 victory against Lake City Tuesday in Lake City.

Senior Ben Coady, junior Cody Heitman and sophomore Ben Bryant all added a goal for the Wildcats in the victory.

“We had great play from Paul Kohner with a hat trick,” PIZM head coach Peter Wiggins said. “The defense, led by Caleb Toft and Jordan Thiede was again strong. The speedy play of Coady kept our offense in gear.”

Senior Noah Smith tallied three assists to lead the Wildcats.

Junior Elijah Kroll scored both goals for the Tigers.

PIZM put 27 shots on goals and will play Cotter Tuesday in Winona.
