Volleyball: Stewartville too much for Lake City

Second-ranked (2A) Stewartville traveled to Lake City Thursday and left with a three-set victory against the Tigers, 25-9, 25-13, 25-20.
Senior Tiffanie Hoops had a team-leading eight kills for Lake City (2-12, 0-10) in the loss.
“When you’ve got two Division I girls on your team, you know you’ve got a good chance of winning,” Lake City head coach Kim Bobb said of Stewartville.
Senior Taylor Koller added three kills and two blocks for Lake City while senior Kristine Novak led the team with 12 digs.
Lake City will play Cotter Tuesday in Winona.
