Letter: Engage in local politics, attend two more forums

To the Editor:
It looks as if the campaign season is off to a lively start with the first of three forums sponsored by the League of Women Voters Red Wing. Candidates for mayor were up first, followed by City Council candidates, answering some excellent questions posed by citizens in the audience.
On Thursday Sept. 27, candidates for state House and Senate seats will come before us, and on Oct. 4, candidates for our School Board and for Goodhue County commissioners will take their places at forum.
All this takes place in the City Hall council chambers from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. I invite you to come to hear the forum live, but if you can't make it, you can catch the rebroadcast of the forums on our local Channel 6.
Be an informed voter!
