To the Editor:

League of Women Voters Red Wing would like to inform Red Wing citizens that we will be conducting three evenings of candidate forums for local candidates.

The first event is scheduled for Sept. 20 and will feature mayoral candidates, followed by candidates for City Council Wards 1 and 2 and combined Wards 3-4. Although Ward 1 is an uncontested race, LWVRW has invited this candidate so citizens may hear all candidates' responses to questions.

On Sept. 27, both the state House and Senate candidates will have an opportunity to be heard.

The forum for the District 5 County Commissioner position will be on Oct. 4. Later on that same evening, candidates for the Red Wing school board will have their opportunity to respond to questions.

All candidate forums will take place at 6:30 p.m. On the evenings of Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, the second forum will begin 10 minutes after the earlier one is finished.

All forums will be held in Red Wing City Hall council chambers. Written questions from the audience will be accepted.

Please come and quiz your local candidates on issues that are important and relevant to citizens of Red Wing.
