Volleyball: Ranked Hawks crush Wingers

Trying to snap a seven-match losing streak Thursday, the Red Wing volleyball team ran into not only one of the toughest tasks in the Missota Conference, but one of the toughest tasks in Class 3A in 10th-ranked Chaska.
Playing in their first match in a week, the Hawks put on a dominant display at home against the Wingers in a sweep: 25-8, 25-6, 25-9.
Offense was sparse for Red Wing, as Mary Anthony led the squad with two kills. Freshman Sydney Book had a kill and two block assists for the Wingers (0-3 Missota, 4-15).
Red Wing looks to rebound on Tuesday with a non-conference match at Medford.
