Up 2-1 after three sets, the Ellsworth volleyball team lost the final two sets in a five-set heartbreaker on Tuesday, losing to Baldwin-Woodville in a Middle Border Conference match. The Blackhawks won 18-25, 25-18, 20-25, 27-25, 15-10.
Olivia Helmer set the tone offensively for the Panthers, leading the team in kills (10) and set assists (21). Kenzie Diercks chipped in with nine kills, two solo blocks and three ace serves.
