Red Wing fell behind early, and despite a late goal, the Wingers lost 3-1 to Farmington Tuesday in Farmington.
The Wingers (4-3-1, 0-1-1 Missota) trailed 1-0 at halftime, but allowed two goals in the first 17 minutes of the second half to fall behind 3-0.
With around 15 minutes remaining in regulation, Tawon Howard scored to bring Red Wing within 3-1.
“I thought we were going to gain a charge and go but we had a little issue with adapting to the field,” Red Wing head coach Brian Quigley said. “We weren’t our regular Red Wing Wingers today. We had our shining moments but we have to be able to carry that through the whole time.”
Andy Tarr made 10 saves in the loss.
The Wingers play again Thursday at Chaska.
