Molden steps down from Xcel
Jim Molden, site vice president at Prairie Island nuclear plant, stepped down Monday for personal and professional reasons. The resignation is effective immediately, Xcel Energy officials said Tuesday.
Jim Molden, site vice president at Prairie Island nuclear plant, stepped down Monday for personal and professional reasons. The resignation is effective immediately, Xcel Energy officials said Tuesday.
“We appreciate the contributions Jim made since joining Xcel Energy in November 2010, including his service at Prairie Island since June, and we wish him well,” said Tim O’Connor, acting chief nuclear officer.
O’Connor named Joel Sorensen, currently vice president of nuclear operations support at Xcel Energy, to serve as acting Prairie Island site vice president. Sorensen will serve in the temporary assignment until a loaned executive from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations is available for an 18-month assignment as Prairie Island site vice president.
