Lake City grabbed the No. 4 seed out of pool play at the Wabasha-Kellogg Invitational Saturday but was knocked out in the first round of bracket play.

Facing fifth-seeded Cochrane-Fountain City, of Wis., the Tigers won the first set handily, 25-10, but lost the next two to fall 10-25, 25-23, 15-11.
Lake City does not keep stats for tournament matches.
“It was nice for them to get their first couple of win and to play well,” Lake City head coach Kim Bobb said. “It was a good weekend for us. Hopefully the girls gained some confidence.”
The Tigers play host to Trion Tuesday and travel to face Cannon Falls Thursday.
