Pilgrimage planned to La Crosse, Wis., shrine

A trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wis., is planned for Saturday Sept. 29. The pilgrimage will be an all-day event sponsored by the five rural Minnesota parishes of St. Mary’s of New Trier, St. John the Baptist of Vermillion, St. Mathias of Hampton, St. Joseph of Miesville and St. Pius of Cannon Falls.

As part of the day, Father Stan Mader, pastor of St. Mary’s, St John the Baptism and St. Mathias, will celebrate Mass at the shrine at 2:15 p.m.

A motor coach will leave the parking lot of St. Mary’s Church in New Trier at 7 a.m. and return around 6 p.m. The cost for the bus and lunch is $25.
