The Lake City girls soccer team remains winless after falling 5-0 to Byron at home Thursday.

Leading 2-0 after halftime, the Bears scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to clinch the victory. Lake City used a pair of goalkeepers, with Beth Peterson making 20 saves in 60 minutes, and Lindy Holmstadt stopping eight shots in the final 20 minutes.

The Tigers (0-3 HVL, 0-7) have been shut out in three straight contests. Lake City looks to get back on track Monday, traveling to Plainview-Elgin-Millville for a non-conference match.
