Girls Tennis: Panthers fall to Durand

Ellsworth fell 5-2 to Durand Thursday in Durand.

Stacie Peterson grabbed her second win of the season for the Panthers at No. 2 singles, a 6-3, 6-4 win against Jordan Bergner. At No. 3 singles, Rochelle Sweig defeated Morgan Milliren 6-7, 7-6, 6-2 for her first win of the season.

Jordan Olson lost a tough match to Jenna Johnson 4-6, 5-7 at No. 1 singles and Ellsworth was swept in doubles play.

Panthers lose to Baldwin-Woodville

Ellsworth was swept by Baldwin-Woodville Tuesday.

Jordan Olson put up a valiant effort at No. 1 singles, recovering from a 6-1 loss in the first set, but ultimately lost in a third set tiebreaker. Olson fell 6-1, 6-7, 7-6.

The Panthers struggled to get any points at the other spots, winning just six games in the other five matches.
