Adult tap dance

Adult tap dance classes will be held from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Red Wing High School, lower J Pod, starting Sept. 18. The classes run for nine sessions and cost $49.

Dancing

Basic techniques of Latin and ballroom dancing will be taught to adults from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesdays at the Red Wing High School J Pod. Classes run for four weeks starting Oct. 9. Cost is $28.

Kickball

Middle school students are invited to play kickball from 2:45 to 3:35 p.m. Thursdays starting Sept. 20 at Twin Bluff Middle School. Meet at the softball field across from the middle school tennis courts. The program lasts four weeks and costs $11.

Free family skate

Free family skate will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday Sept. 30 at Prairie Island Arena. The Minnesota Wild mascot, Nordy, will be available for pictures and autographs from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Rental skates will be available.

Dance classes

Dance classes for kids age 3 and older will be offered starting Sept. 17. Classes are available in tap, ballet, hip hop, jazz and pom-pom/danceline. Lessons are for beginners and intermediate level dancers. They are held either Monday or Tuesday after school at the Red Wing High School through spring 2013.

Fantasy football

Middle school age students are invited to participate in fantasy football from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at Twin Bluff Middle School. Cost is $12.

Swimming lessons

Swimming lessons for those age 40 months and older will start Sept. 17 at the Twin Bluff Middle School pool. Class times are 6 to 6:35 p.m. or 6:40 to 7:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays for eight sessions. Another set of lessons will begin Oct. 15. Cost is $38.

Elementary soccer

After-school soccer lessons will be held from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Burnside School starting Sept. 18. The classes run for four weeks and cost $11 total.
