Man arrested after threatening teen, driving vehicle into teen's

A Hampton Township, Minn., man was arrested early Sunday morning after he used his vehicle to ram another person’s vehicle, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported.

A Hampton Township, Minn., man was arrested early Sunday morning after he used his vehicle to ram another person’s vehicle, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported. Robert E. Swanson, 26, was booked into Goodhue County Jail on first-degree criminal damage to property, second-degree assault and terroristic threats charges.

According to sheriff’s spokeswoman Kris Weiss, Swanson used his vehicle to block a 17-year-old male’s vehicle at a residence in Stanton Township. Swanson then kicked and pounded the boy’s vehicle before the boy was able to drive onto County Road 24. Swanson chased the boy, ramming his vehicle several times.

The boy was able to stop and call 911 when he reached Cannon Falls.

Swanson was arrested after he was located at a residence in Cannon Falls at about 3 a.m.
