ELC duck gets vandalized
A large concrete duck used as a fundraiser for the Environmental Learning Center was vandalized, the Red Wing Police Department reported.
A large concrete duck used as a fundraiser for the Environmental Learning Center was vandalized, the Red Wing Police Department reported.
An anonymous caller reported the incident Sept. 3, when the duck and its trailer were parked in the 400 block of East Seventh Street. Anti-gay statements were spray painted and written on the duck’s chest and tail, including some referencing Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
The duck has been stationed in various parts of the city throughout the summer.
