'Disappearing Country Schools of Washington County'

The Wabasha County Historical Society is holding an event Sept. 16 called the “Disappearing Country Schools of Wabasha County.”

Starting at 1 p.m., attendees are invited to the recreated 1930s classroom in Reads Landing for the event that includes artifacts representing schools from the 1850s and later. Attendees are invited to bring photos and artifacts to share as well.

The cost is $5 for the general public, free for museum members.
