Ellsworth’s passing game proved economical and effective Friday in a 24-0 victory over Amery in Ellsworth.

Panthers quarterback Jake Murphy completed 6 of 10 passes for 111 yards with three of those completions going for touchdowns to Alex Campbell.

Murphy found Campbell for a 10-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, 1-yard pass with 17.4 seconds left in the half and a 34-yard pass with 10:07 left in the fourth quarter.

Amery, on the other hand, did not complete a pass and finished with just 116 yards.

Campbell caught five passes for 78 yards and Logan Kemmerer led Ellsworth (1-1) with 71 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Brandon VanderMarliere scored on a 6-yard run in the first quarter and finished with 53 yards.

The Panthers will take on Somerset Friday in Somerset.
