Red Wing lost 5-3 to Pine Island-Zumbrota-Mazeppa Friday in Red Wing. It was a nonconference contest.
Senior Cede Finstuen scored a hat trick for the Panthers (3-0) while junior Katie Schultz and ninth-grader Madison House scored the other two goals.
The loss drops the Wingers to 0-3 to start the season.
PIZM also defeated Stewartville 3-2 Thursday at home.
Red Wing resumes play Tuesday at Lake City.
