Master Gardener training offered

The University of Wisconsin Extension will offer level 1 Master Gardener training throughout September, October and November.

Participants will learn about basic botany, soils, composting, plant diseases, organic growing and much more. Classes will be held Wednesday evenings Sept. 12, 19 and 26, Oct. 3, 17 and 24, and Nov. 7 and 14. There will be two morning classes on Saturday Oct. 13 and 27.

In exchange for the training, participants must provide 24 hours of community volunteer service related to plant science or gardening.
