There were 23,385 motorists pulled over during a July statewide speed enforcement campaign, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety announced.
“This effort was conducted to encourage motorists to drive safe speeds with the focus of preventing serious and fatal crashes,” said Donna Berger, director of the DPS Office of Traffic Safety, which coordinated the campaign.
Last month 23 motorists were cited by the State Patrol for driving more than 100 mph.
