10 days out

10 days out for Aug. 22-Sept. 2, 2012

Spotlight: Originally formed in the early 1970s, the Original Fungus reunites this Friday Aug. 24 at Marie’s Underground Grill and Tap House in Red Wing.

The band played together for a handful of years throughout the region with original members including Dan “Fungi” Feindt, Jim Knoblauch, Paul Klein and Craig Wronski. “We played quite a bit at the old Edgewater Night Club on the Island Road near the backchannel,” Wronski said.

Distance drove the core group of musicians apart, as some of the members moved out of state, but they will be back for Friday’s performance.

“We just want to have a good time and attract some people that might remember us from back in the day,” Wronski added.

The Original Fungus Band will play their rock and blues set of some old songs mixed with new pieces starting at 8 p.m.
