Amateur baseball: Aces open sectionals with Duluth at Ath

The Red Wing Aces will open the Class B Super Sectional tournament Friday against Duluth at 6 p.m. at the Red Wing Athletic Field.

If the Aces win they will play at 4 p.m. Saturday in a state tournament berth game. Two teams from the sectional will advance to the state tournament.

Cold Spring will face Eagan Friday at 8:30 p.m.

If Red Wing loses Friday it will play at 1 p.m. Saturday. The winner of 1 p.m. game Saturday will face the loser of the 4 p.m. game for a spot in the state tournament at 7 p.m.

The championship game will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday.

and, if necessary, the game will be played immediately following the 1 p.m. game Sunday at the Ath.
