Pierce County cracking down on drunk drivers

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department will participate in a statewide effort called “Over the Limit, Under Arrest” from Aug. 17 to Sept. 3.

Deputies will be out “in full force” performing traffic enforcement with the goal of cutting down on the number of intoxicated motorists in Wisconsin, the department said. It is one of many state programs the department participates in to help reduce traffic fatalities.
