Cannon Falls locked up a No. 1 seed for the Class C state tournament Sunday with a 5-0 victory over Blue Earth in Cannon Falls.
The Bears will meet the winner between Bertha and Maple Plaine Aug. 26 at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud at 11 a.m.
Cory Hedeen threw an eight-hit shutout and Taylor Pagel drove in two runs to help lead Cannon Falls to the victory.
Hedeen finished with seven strikeouts and no walks and got some run support early.
The Bears went up 1-0 in the first inning and added two more in the second inning for a 3-0 lead. Cannon Falls scored two more runs in the fifth.
Pagel finished 1-for-3 with a home run while Josh Harrison went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Ryan Brintnall finished 2-for-2 with an RBI.
The Bears had six hits in the game, but also drew five walks.
