Missota Conference highlights 39 Wingers

The Missota Conference released all-conference award winners and several Red Wing athletes earned honors.
The conference champion baseball team had five players earn all-conference honors. Ryan Boldt, David Goggin, Zach Garner, Joel Newman and Mike Stegora were all named all-conference. Jack Strusz and Dayton Johnson made the honorable mention team.
In boys tennis, George Gabrielson, Isaac Toivonen, Lukas Bryant and Alex Holm received all-conference honors while Nick Powers was named all-conference honorable mention.
Katie Kesti, Marisa Toivonen and Nicole Schammel were named to the all-conference team for girls golf and seventh-grader Stephanie Herzog made all-conference honorable mention.
Blake Westerberg was the lone Wingers player to earn all-conference honors in boys golf. Matthew Petterson was named to the honorable mention team.
Christian Leitner received all-conference honors in the 3,200 meters while the 4x200 relay team of Tanner Kramp, Andre Page, Gage Lastine and Alex Harder also made all-conference. Jonny Banks earned all-conference honors in the triple jump and Ryan Parr made all-conference in the shot put.
Leitner made honorable mention in the 1,600 and the 4x100 relay team of Kramp, Page, Ethan Draz and Harder earned honorable mention honors.
Red Wing’s girls 4x800 relay team of Elise Leise, Kelsee Anderson, Adrienne Hicks and Abbey Schnaith was named all-conference, as was Maggie Jonas in the shot put and discus. The Wingers’ 4x100 relay team of Katie Stegora, Demetria Buck, Emily Stegora and Alexandra Anderson made the honorable mention team and Macy Kelly did so in the discus.
Tesha Buck earned the only all-conference award for the Wingers in softball. Elle Anderson and Kelsey Bystrom were named to the honorable mention team.
